Syble’s Salsa

   SYBLE’S SALSA

submitted to Great Outdoor Blessings by Mrs. Syble Woods of Columbus, MS

17 large ripe tomatoes peeled & Chopped(about 8 cups)

4 large sweet onions chopped(Texas sweet )( 4 cups)

4 large bell peppers chopped(4 cups)
4 oz garlic chopped

8-10 jalapeno peppers

1-1/2 cup white vingar

2 tablespoon canning salt

1-1/2 tablespoons cucmin

3or 4 cans tomato paste (this thickens the Salsa)

mix  in a large pot   except the tomato paste –  bring to a boil -stir to make sure not to stick- simmer for

about 30 min. add tomato paste to thicken . make sure all the paste is cooked into the salsa . put in perpared jars and seal- makes 6-8 pints

SOUL Food – The Most Important Recipe Ever!

SOUL FOOD served with SPIRITUAL FRUITS

This is the most important recipe that you will find anywhere.  It has specific guidelines and must be followed step by step.  This recipe is over two-thousand years old.  It was and is today a recipe that will change your life right before your eyes.  It is not grilled, not fried, not baked, not broiled and not heated.  As a matter of fact it comes with a special “fire insurance policy” guaranteeing it will not burn.  The ingredients have been carefully measured and mixed according to a plan.  When preparing be very careful to add the exact amount and believe in your heart that the final result will be “heavenly”.  You will want to share this recipe with all of your friends and family.

It’s easy so let’s get started!

Ingredients

1 tablespoon of “Admission of Sin”, 1 cup of “Cannot Save Myself”, 1 cup of “Died on a Cross”, 1 tablespoonful of “Payment of my Sin-Debt”, 1 teaspoon of “Rose from the Grave”, 1 cup of “Repentance”, 1 cup of “I Ask you to Live in My Heart”, 1 large serving of “Jesus, Son of GOD”, 1 quart of “Salvation”.

1 cup of “Love”, 1 cup of “Joy”, 1 cup of “Peace”, 1 cup of “Patience”, 1 cup of “Kindness”, 1 cup of “Goodness”, and 1 cup of “Faithfulness”.

Directions

Combine “Admit that you are a Sinner” with the fact that “You cannot Save Yourself”.  Slowly add that you know that “Jesus died on a Cross” and sprinkle in “For Payment of my SIn-Debt”.  Pour in that you believe that Jesus “Rose from the Grave” three days later and stir in slowly your “Repentance” of sin and that you are asking Jesus “to Live within your Heart”.  Lastly, cover with a big thank you to “Jesus, the Son of GOD” for giving you eternal “Salvation”.

Mix in your heart all of the fruit of the spirit that you have before you.  Stir and Mix “Love”, “Joy”, “Peace”, “Patience”, “Kindness”, “Goodness” and “Faithfulness”.  Serve with your Salvation and your new and fresh walk with GOD the Father, GOD the Son, and GOD the Holy Spirit.

Campground Cocktail Sauce Using Hoover Sauce

This is a fun and fantastic tasting Cocktail Sauce for shrimp done anyway you want them on the Campground.  I enjoy making it up ahead of time but it is so user friendly, you can do it right there at your campsite.

Cocktail Sauce

12 oz Chili Sauce,  1 tablespoon of prepared horseradish,  1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of HOOVER SAUCE

Combine all ingredients and mix very well.  Add salt and pepper to your taste.  Chill and serve with cooked schrimp or a chilled Shrimp Cocktail.  Excellent for “Surf & Turf”.  Makes about one and two thirds cups.  Refrigerate after use or serving.

Chicken Drummettes Using Hoover Sauce

What is “Hoover Sauce”?  Hoover Sauce is a sweet-sour Asian taste with the piquancy and the consistency of a marinade-a Chinese barbecue sauce.  It is best used on chicken and ribs as a marinate.  

Chicken Drummettes

(1)   Wash and drain desired amount of Drummettes or Wings (without tips).

(2)   Place in a pan, pour enough Hoover Sauce to cover half of chicken, then add cold water to cover the rest of the chicken.

(3)   Bring mixture to boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10-12 minutes.

(4)   Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat, about 350 degrees F.

(5)   Carefully add chicken to form a single layer.  Fry until chicken begins to turn brown.

(6)   Remove and drain on paper towel.

TO SERVE:  Make a paste with a dry mustard such as Coleman Dry Mustard.  Add ketchup to paste mixture to your desire of hotness or with your favorite sweet and sour sauce.  Dip in sauce to eat.

Baby Back Ribs Using Hoover Sauce

Baby Back Ribs

(1)   Cut two slabs of baby back pork ribs, four rib bone wide, and marinate for at least four hours in Hoover Sauce, turning frequently.

(2)   Drain pieces of ribs and place on oven rack.

(3)   Roast at 350 degrees F. for 40 minutes, turning every 8-10 minutes to assure even brownness.

(4)   Check for doneness.

Hobo Pie

Ingredients:

  1. meat of your preference (usually hamburger)
  2. potatoes
  3. carrots
  4. onions
  5. salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Double aluminum foil and then butter it or use non-stick spray.
  2. Add hamburger patty first,
  3. sliced potatoes next,
  4. and then sliced carrots,
  5. all salted and peppered well.
  6. Add onion, fold aluminum foil over, pinching it over to seal,
  7. and cook on grill over campfire until meat is done.
  8. Place directly on plate, open, and eat right out of the foil.
  9. Enjoy your Great Outdoor Blessings!

Ziploc Omelette

– 2 eggs
– Your choice of add-ins (ham, bacon, onions, peppers, cheese, hash browns, etc.)

Set a large pot of water to boil on the campfire. Meanwhile, crack the eggs into the bag, and shake to combine them. Put in your ingredients and shake gently to combine.

Before placing the bag in boiling water, make sure to get the air out of the bag and zip it up. Place the bags into rolling, boiling water for exactly 13 minutes. You can usually cook 6-8 omelets in a large pot.
